Black Lion podium success at English National Championships 2019

It has been an incredible week at the English National Championship 2019. The first national level championships for our swimmers, David Allen, Albert Branch, Mia Colyer and Chloe Eastwood, and we could not have been prouder of all they achieved.

Each swimmer achieved personal best times and all made a nationals final which is an incredible achievement at this level of swimming. David Allen and Chloe Eastwood both achieved podium success, with Chloe winning Silver in the 50m Butterfly, and David Bronze in the 200m Backstroke.

Success at this level would not be possible without all the support and guidance, that our swimmers receive from their lead coach and the clubs performance director Martin Jurco, the extended coaching team, and their family and friends. The level of team spirit behind our swimmers was exceptional as well wishes and good luck messages were shared, and everyone cheered them on as we all watched the live stream of the races. It takes a strong team spirit and community of support to help a winner rise and for goals and dreams to be achieved.
