Children in Need Fundraiser - The Channel Challenge

The Channel Challenge for Children in Need

We are excited to be running the channel challenge to help raise funds for Children in Need.

Ever wondered how far our swimmers swim each training session and how many sessions before they would have swum the equivalent of the channel? Well that’s exactly what we are going to find out!

The challenge is how many times can our swimmers Collectively swim the channel in one month starting today 14th October and ending 14th November 2019. We are estimating that as a club we swim as many as 75 channel swims in a month!!

This is a challenge all our squad swimmers can get involved in from bronze up to senior development, regardless of their age, skill level, or experience! Using the existing training times and programmes our coaches will be reporting how far the swimmers have swum each session, which will be converted into the equivalent number of channel crossings.. keep an eye out on social media for regular updates across the month!

How can you get involved?

Join in the fun, cheering our swimmers on and celebrating their achievements and help us raise funds for Children in Need. Follow all the action on social media and be amazed at how hard our swimmers work during training!

We have set up a just giving page to make donating as easy as possible! How you choose to sponsor is up to you! You may want to pledge a single amount! you may want to pledge an amount per channel crossing achieved! (Remember this could be as high as 75!)... the choice is yours! Don’t forget to share the challenge with friends and family and get them involved in sponsoring too!!
