I think I’d make a good Club Captain because I really care about the club and the people in it. I’ve always tried to set a good example by working hard at training, staying positive, and supporting my teammates. One thing I really enjoy is talking to and encouraging the younger swimmers. I know how much it means when an older swimmer takes the time to help you or cheer you on, and I’d love to be that person for the next generation of Blacklions. I want to step up as someone they can look up to, whether that’s helping calm nerves before a race, celebrating their achievements, or just being someone they’re comfortable talking to. I believe a captain should bring everyone together, not just the fastest swimmers, and make sure every member feels valued. I’d be proud to represent Blacklions, lead by example, and help build a positive, supportive club where everyone enjoys being part of the team.
